Matteo De Petrillo

Matteo De Petrillo graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Control System Engineering in 2013 at University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. He was awarded for two study abroad scholarships: University of Surrey, Guildford, UK during fall/winter 2013/2014 and West Virginia University, fall 2015. Matteo received his master of science in Control system engineering in February 2017, during which he worked and developed his master’s project on UAVs autonomous precision landing and control over a network through an Italian company involved in defense.
Matteo started his Ph.D. program in aerospace engineering at WVU in August 2017 with a Teaching assistantship for Automatic Control class, and now as a Graduate research assistantship working at the Navigation Lab.

Outside the academic environment, he loves traveling, snowboarding or skiing during winter time and he is also a recreational and technical scuba diver. Last of his hobbies is carrying a camera and shooting during his activity.
