Eduardo Gutierrez

A native of Madrid, Spain, Eduardo Gutierrez graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2020 from West Virginia University Institute of Technology with Summa Cum Laude Honors. He can speak Spanish fluently. During his undergraduate studies, Eduardo acted as member of Pi Tau Sigma, Tau Beta Pi, was an orientation leader, and also a student tutor for Mechanical Engineering courses. In his senior year, he was Vice Captain of the team in charge of the development of a Remote-Controlled Airplane, which competed in the SAE Aero Design Competition Regular Class in 2020. Eduardo is currently working towards a master’s degree in the WVU Navigation Laboratory as a graduate research assistant.

Outside of academia, Eduardo is a great soccer player, having been recruited to play soccer during his undergrad with a scholarship. While on the team, he acted as Captain and he earned All-conference honors, River States Conference Regular Season Champion, River States Conference Tournament Champion and he was named to the conference Scholar-Athlete Team. In addition, he enjoys playing the guitar, travelling and going out with his friends
